K-platforms

What are Korean platforms? What are their histories? How do they compare to platforms elsewhere? How can we do research with and about them?

K-platforms supports collaborative research on South Korean digital media landscapes and how they are being shaped by the development of apps, platforms and AI.

This project will co-develop reusable research tools and methods for investigating the cultures, infrastructures, dynamics, logics and economies of South Korea platforms and online spaces.
